  Chase has partnered with Official Payments Corp. to offer card members the ability to pay business related taxes using a Chase Credit Card. This service allows card members to pay business related taxes electronically under agreement with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). All payments are processed immediately and the amount of the transaction including the tax payment and a convenience fee1 will appear on your monthly Chase Credit Card statement. The IRS payment date will be the day on which the transaction is authorized and completed. It may, however, take the IRS five to seven days to post the payment to your tax account.

Types of Business Related Tax Payments that can be made through this service:
• Form 941 Employer's Quarterly Federal Tax including prior year and
  installment agreements
• Form 940 Employer's Federal Unemployment (FUTA) Tax including prior year and
   installment agreements Balance due notice

This service enables card members to spread their taxes payments over time according to their schedule and convenience while meeting IRS deadlines.

2. How can I make a business related tax payment using the Chase Payment Service?
You can make a federal tax payment by visiting our website at www.officialpayments.com/chase. Our secure application offers you the convenience of paying your Federal taxes using your Chase Credit Card. Your payment is processed immediately and you will receive a confirmation number as proof of your payment. The IRS will post the payment to your account based on the Social Security Number or Employer Identification Number entered during the transaction.

5. Is there a fee charged for this service?
Official Payments Corp. charges a convenience fee (minimum $1.00) for using this service. This fee is not negotiable and will appear on your credit card statement as a separate line item from your tax payment amount.

No, your tax payment will be treated like a retail purchase and not a cash advance.

7. Will I receive proof that my transaction was processed?
Yes. You will receive a confirmation number at the end of the transaction as proof that your payment has been authorized.

8. How are payments posted to my IRS account?
The IRS will match the payment to your single or joint filer tax account based on the Social Security Number entered during the transaction. You should enter the social security number of the first (or primary) person listed on your tax return or form. If you are paying business taxes, the IRS will match the payment to the Employer Identification Number (EIN) entered during the transaction.

9. What should I mail to the IRS once my payment is completed?
You do need to file your tax return or amended return with the IRS. You do not need to mail in a payment voucher or any other payment information related to your completed payment. We will provide the IRS with the information needed to process and post your payment transaction.

10. How can I be sure that my payment will be timely?
The IRS payment date will be equal to the date your transaction is authorized and completed. You may pay on time electronically until midnight of the return due date. Therefore, you can make a payment early or on the due date and it will be credited timely.

You may pay the full balance or make a partial payment through this service.

13. What is the advantage of paying over the Internet or phone by credit card?
There are several advantages to paying with your credit card. First, the convenience of picking up the phone or going online and making your payment without writing a check and mailing your payment. Second, your credit card may provide revolving credit. Third, once you receive your confirmation number, you'll have proof that your payment was received.

15. Can the Chase Tax Payment Service be used to make required federal tax deposits?
This service cannot be used to make required federal tax deposits. Deposits can only be made through an authorized financial institution or the Electronic Federal Tax Payment System (EFTPS). It is the responsibility of the employer to ensure that all taxes are paid or deposited correctly and on time.
